PRAYER FOR THE BEATIFICATION OF PETER CARDINAL POREKUU DERY

God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Lord and Creator of our ancestors and all people that live on earth, we give you thanks for the inspiring life of your servant Peter Cardinal Porekuu Dery.
Chosen by you, God and giver of all life, he lived as an apostle of Jesus, fed your lamb, shepherded your people and manifested your burning love to the needy. Therefore Father we praise you for allowing the tenderness of Your fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendor of your Holy Spirit to shine through him. Indeed he has shown us that Holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you the Triune God. Grant by his intercession, and according to Your Will, a manifestation that he may be numbered among your saints, for the glory of Your people.
